An inside look at building SOIRÉ - one decision, one bottle, one belief at a time.

No investor. No roadmap. No distribution deals waiting on the other end.
Just a product idea, a point to prove, and the willingness to start anyway.

That was SOIRÉ at the beginning. And in many ways, it still is.

We launched a premium rum brand without legacy funding, without celebrity hype, and without falling into the trap of “me too” marketing. And somehow, we made it to launch -fully bottled, fully DTC, fully verified, with momentum most brands only dream of before their first pour.

The journey so far hasn’t been smooth. But that’s the point.
This is what disruption actually looks like.

THE VISION

SOIRÉ wasn’t born from trend forecasting or category data. It was born from absence.

There were no rum brands that felt like they belonged to this generation - visually, digitally, or culturally. Everything felt too forced. Too dated. Too eager to sell you an origin story instead of offering a point of view.

So we started building the opposite.

A rum brand rooted in clarity, control, collectibility, and presence.
Designed for the kind of drinker who notices the label, the glass, the sound the cork makes.
For the hosts. The selectors. The culture-shapers.

We didn’t want to just make good rum. We wanted to make people care about rum again.

GETTING TO PRODUCT

We found our liquid through E&A Scheer, the oldest and most respected rum blender in the world. 300+ years of history. Silent partner to the biggest names in the category. The kind of resource you don’t usually get access to on a self-funded startup timeline.

We didn’t cut. We refined.
We worked through delays. Reformulated until it poured right.
We fought through cost overruns, co-packing lessons, and steep learning curves.

Every part of this product was earned.
The glass. The chip. The cork. The blend. The silence between each step.

BUILDING WHILE UNDERFUNDED

We hit walls. Financially. Logistically. Emotionally.

We had to pause production while bottling was mid-process.
We pushed forward without knowing if the final product would even ship in time.
We onboarded distribution platforms while handling fulfillment, content, design, and legal in-house.

The team was small. Still is. But the output is outsized.

Because the pressure sharpened the positioning.
Because not being over-resourced made us build with intention.
Because no one was going to hand us the path - we had to make our own.

THE PROGRESS

Despite it all, we launched.

  • SOIRÉ Blanco is now DTC across 48 states

  • Every bottle is NFC-verified, with chip integration built directly into the base

  • We received Double Gold from the 2025 SIP Awards for both taste and packaging

  • We scored 88 points at BTI, and are currently under review at Wine Enthusiast and NY Spirits Competition

  • We partnered with Accelpay to ship our bottles nationally

  • We completed our first bottling run without outside capital

  • Our digital storefront, socials, and activations are live

  • First 500 bottles? Moving fast.

We’ve launched softly, but with strength. And we’re doing it our way - no distributor timelines, no mass shelf presence, no marketing templates.

WHAT WE’VE LEARNED

You don’t need scale to make impact.
You need story. Clarity. Consistency. Precision.
You need a product that makes people pause, post, or pour for someone else.

And you need to show up - even when it’s messy. Especially when it’s hard.

Because that’s when people start paying attention.
Not when you launch. But when you refuse to stop building.

WHAT’S NEXT

We’re hosting soft launch events starting this August.
We’re activating in Miami first. Then Los Angeles. Then NYC. Then wherever culture calls.

We’re exploring collaborations - not with the biggest names, but with the right ones.
We’re designing new bottle runs. Considering RTD. Preparing to scale, but only if it looks and feels like SOIRÉ should.

We're not here to chase every shelf.
We're here to redefine presence. One bottle, one room, one believer at a time.

The journey so far has been humbling.
And it’s only just beginning.
